Diagnostic Testing Northumberland
In this age of ever-increasing emission regulations, the vehicle manufacturer has basically had to make their cars burn fuel and push fresh air out of the back! Well, this has led to the car being controlled by computers - the only thing it can't currently do is drive the car, but they're getting close!
You may be reading this and the car you drive, let's say is two years old, may have a throttle by wire which isn't connected to an injection pump or carburettor. Well that's because there isn't one. When you press the throttle, it turns a sensor which tells the computer to put the correct amount of fuel in. This is where diagnostic testing comes in.
There is now a need for every car to be able to be plugged into to a device which can read the car's computer and get information from it. This information comes back as trouble codes which the diagnostic machine can read. That's when the party starts! It may return a code, but it's up to me to find out what that code is and to correct the problem causing it.
